Proposal

Our group has finally finished our proposal. We met last week to put together each section of the proposal. Our flyers turned out great. We have two; one is targeted to schools and the other is targeted to churches. Both flyers are aimed at getting volunteers for Strong Communities. Our proposal discusses the use of the flyers to gain volunteers from the target audience in the Golden Strip Area.

Proposal

Tigers 4 Hire would like to work with Strong Communities on increasing their volunteer base throughout the upstate. We are planning on targeting a few area high schools and churches. Within the high schools, we are going to target the student councils, key clubs, and National Honor Societies. Within the churches, we are going to concentrate on youth groups and fireside programs. We are planning on creating an informational brochure that will not only inform potential volunteers about the Strong Communities goals and initiatives, but to also advertise an informational meeting for Strong Communities. We believe that by targeting local high schools and church groups, we can gain a large volunteer base that has an invested interest in the well being of the community. We believe that by creating a well designed, informational flyer, Strong Communities can continue to use the flyers to build their volunteer base. Flyers are inexpensive and easy for Strong Communities to handout.

Today we met to discuss what we as a group were going to do for the Stronger Communities project. We had a number of ideas that we were bouncing back and forth but finally decided the most useful project for Stronger Communities would be to help them gain new volunteers and increase participation from the community. We decided to target area PTA programs and high schools, especially student councils. Our goal is to educate these programs on the Stronger Communities initiative and to get them involved in the program.
